A MARCH OF MADNESS

After what can only be described as a month of madness, Seacoast United hosted four consecutive weekends of tournament despite three Nor’easters and over 40 inches of snow.

The first two weekends saw teams from New England, the Northeast and beyond as they competed in the Boys’ and Girls’ College Showcase events with numerous college coaches braving the arctic conditions. The following two weekends played host to over 150 teams at our Epping complex for the 13th Annual Seacoast United Spring Premier Invitational.

Despite Mother Nature’s best efforts, Tournament Director Chris Scott and Facility Manager Tim Farrell spent countless hours plowing the fields and ensuring that all four fields would be playable over the course of the month.

“We are very fortunate to have Chris, Tim and the rest of our staff who spent numerous hours and often very late nights ensuring we could offer teams outdoor playing opportunities in March.  It’s staggering to think we were able to host four consecutive weekends of games, and over 250 teams despite the weekly storms,” commented President & CEO Paul Willis.

Seacoast United would like to thank all of the teams that participated the past four weekends, and we wish you the very best luck in your upcoming spring season.
