Hill, US U20 WNT Capture CONCACAF Championship

January 19th, 2014

The Under-20 US Women's National Team captured the CONCACAF Championship on Sunday evening with a 4-0 victory over Mexico at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex in George Town, Cayman Islands.  The win also secures the US a berth in the U20 FIFA World Cup in Canada this August.

Seacoast United alumnus Rachel Hill (Rollinsford, NH) earned 5 caps during the tournament, starting in four of the games and scoring her first international goal.  She lead the team with 5 assists from the attacking center midfield position and was named USsoccer.com's "Woman of the Match" for her performance vs. Guatemala.

The US is now 29-2-1 all time in the CONCACAF U20 Championship and holds a 14 game winning streak dating back to the opener of the 2010 tournament in Guatemala.  During that 14 game span, the US has scored 64 goals while allowing just three.
