Seacoast United 14U's Sweep Maine Black Bears

On Sunday, the Seacoast United Baseball Club 14U swept the Maine Black Bears up in Portland.  In game one, strong pitching by both Matt Oppici and Matt Bozek held the Black Bears to one run while Seacoast banged out 17 runs on 15 hits cruising to a 17-1 victory.  Both Mike McAullife and Matt Oppici both hit home runs while Justin Jewell collected three hits.  It was more of the same in game two with the Seacoast team winning 14-5, Spenser Young, Ricky Mulligan and Jewell all had three hits a piece.  Seacoast pitched 5 different players en route to the victory. The Seacoast United 14U team finished 9-3 in their Division and 17-6 overall and now wait to see if they qualify for the New England Regionals.
