David Richard

David started coaching for Seacoast United in the 2010-11 season.

David is originally from Kingston, NH and grew up playing for Sanborn Regional High School.  He started coaching locally for Fremont, NH in 2000.  He has been the President of the Fremont Athletic Association, Recreation Soccer Coordinator and Travel Soccer Coordinator for several years.  In 2008 David created a Futsal winter training program for the travel players and high school players from Fremont, Kingston, and Newton, and ran it for 8 years.

David has coached girls competitively since 2000, ranging in ages from U10-U21.  During this time, David’s teams have enjoyed several league championships, tournament championships, state championships, and President’s Cup and State Cup championships.  

In 2012, David was named New Hampshire's Girls Competitive Coach of the Year.  In 2014, David earned his USSF "C" License.

David started as an Assistant Coach with the Rivier University women's soccer program in 2018-19.  His responsibilities focused on the goalkeepers, recruiting, training and game day responsibilities.  

David is a Data Architect for Liberty Mutual in Dover, NH and lives in Fremont with his wife Kathie and daughters Jillian, Emily, and Sarah.  Kathie is the Executive Director for the United Sports Foundation.  Jillian (Athletic Trainer) attended the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine and Emily (Interior Design/Architecture) attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA.  Both Jillian and Emily played soccer for their respective colleges. Sarah is attending the University of New Hampshire (dual major:  Wildlife Conservation and Biology/Neuroscience and Behavior) and is slated to graduate in 2021.
