The answer to this is simple... Seacoast United Storm provide the most unique soccer program for all age groups, no matter what age or ability. Our goal is to improve every player, to play at the highest level that they possibly can and desire. This is important as not all players are fully committed to soccer, and we here at Storm support our athletes playing multiple sports and find that the other sports help them on the soccer field.
What We Offer:
Multimove Program – This is a unique 1 hour class with a professional gymnastics Coach, using the top quality gymnastics studio available to us at “Phantom Gymnastics”. This class is included in the player fees for U8-U14 Players and the idea is to expose them to different types of athletic movements. By doing this they will have more freedom on the soccer field, they will build up extreme core strength and flexibility which will allow them to perform at higher level but more importantly help prevent injury. On top of all that, it is extremely fun and the teams are able to bond away from the soccer field and in a different environment.
Strength and Conditioning – Included in the program for the U11-U19 age groups in the winter months, the kids work for 1 hour with professional personal trainers and we use their expert knowledge and equipment to improve our players physically. The game is becoming more and more physical and we want to not only prepare our players for the on field battle but also teach them the correct form and techniques, to repeat these exercises at home or in their own time. This is important for them to lead long and healthy lifestyles and hopefully to compete in sports for many, many years.
Boys Pre Academy (U10 2008 + U11 2007) – Seacoast United is a US Soccer Development Academy club, which begins at U12 (2006 age group). Seacoast United Storm produces Academy players year after year and even had players come through our program who have been invited to US National Training Center events. Through our Pre Academy program, we prepare our players to be able to slot into the US Development Academy, with as little teething issues as possible by following the same training program (3 x a week): 1 tactical, 1 technical and 1 Strength and Conditioning. Seacoast United Storm follow the same philosophies required from an Academy team and communicate the same to educate both players and players, to better prepare them for when they hopefully get selected.
Girls U10 2008, U11 2007 and U12 2006 – Our girls' program is flourishing and growing stronger each year. This year we would like to mirror the boys “Pre Academy” program with the girls and provide them the same opportunities to succeed.
European Sports Tours – Within the last 12 months we have had two European soccer trips, which have been an incredible experience for players who went. In August 2016, Seacoast United sent 100 players over to Brighton, England with our newly partnered club, Brighton and Hove Albion; 16 of those were SUSC Storm players. Each day they would practice with Brighton Academy Coaches, they would compete against English Academy teams and experience some EPL games and Championship games.
60 boys and girls have just returned from Manchester, England where they worked with Manchester United "Class of 92" (Chris Casper, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt). They were exposed to question and answer sessions with the legends, took a sports psychology seminar and were coached by all of the Manchester United legends. Learn more...
