Kate Dawson
Director of Softball

Kate was a standout catcher at Division II Post University starting 3 out of 4 years behind the plate and at Exeter High School as a 4-year varsity starter.  During her 4 years as a member of Post University Softball she was awarded Second Team All-Conference her junior year and was honored as captain her senior year.  She has been involved with the Seacoast United Bandits since their beginning in 2014.  She has been coaching a senior staff member at The Catching Camp, formerly the New England Catching Camp, under Jay Weaver for 10 years, and is versed in the area of hitting.  Both of which allows her not only to coach softball players, but teach young women and help them grow.

Laura Fleming

Laura was a standout pitcher/infielder at Bentley University and Bishop Fenwick High School. Her coaching career began while in college majoring in business and psychology, and assisting former Fenwick great Ed Henry at Shawsheen Technical High School. Fleming became one of the youngest varsity coaches in Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association history as coach at Pope John High School.  In 2005 Fleming led the squad to its first state tournament appearance in five years. Fleming then took a position at South Shore powerhouse Joseph Case High School (Swansea, Ma) going 46-14 in three seasons.  At Case she managed South Coast Conference All-Stars, and produced many Boston Globe/Herald All-Scholastics.  Coach Fleming also has Junior Olympic experience from the 12U-18U age groups. Laura has spent extensive time at the college showcase level assisting players in college exposure and the recruitment process at all levels.  Fleming is an experienced pitching and hitting instructor who trained under Denise Davis at Planet Fastpitch (PFP).


McKenzie McGrath
Head Coach 16U

McKenzie was a standout shortstop for Exeter High School for four years and is now a standout third baseman at Suffolk University.  She just finished her sophomore year and broke the single season fielding record for assists with 105.  In 2016 her team also finished first in the GNAC in the regular season title for the 2nd consecutive year with a record of 33-9, a single season wins record for Suffolk.  She is excited for her first year aboard the Seacoast United Bandits staff.
