Seacoast United Phantoms striker Anthony Grant is receiving recognition once again for his performance in the Premier Development League, as the league is announcing its all star rosters and individual award finalists. Grant has been named to the All-Eastern Conference Team, All-League Team, and as a PDL MVP Finalist. This is the 2nd consecutive year in which Grant has been named for all three honors, the only player in the entire PDL to do so.
The Kingston, Jamaica native captured the Golden Boot and Scoring Champion titles in early July after tallying 12 goals and 4 assists for 28 points during the regular season. Those totals were best in the country across all PDL conferences. Grant finished 2nd in both categories in 2014 on his way to a PDL MVP Finalist nomination.
Grant has ambitions to play at the next level. He is currently working out with Columbus Crew of the MLS.
“I’m hoping for an opportunity to play professionally after this season, and to continue to move up the ladder to the MLS or even overseas,” said Grant in a recent interview.
Finalists for this year’s PDL Awards will be announced on July 29th, with the award winners being announced on July 30th.
