Phantoms Prepare for Tough Stretch in Schedule

June 2, 2014

The Seacoast United Phantoms are busy preparing for an intense stretch in their 2014 schedule, where they will play 4 games in just 8 days.

Newcomers Anthony Grant and Trent Lougheed immediately added to the Phantoms' punch in last Friday's match vs. preseason favorite Montreal Impact U23.  In his first minute wearing a Phantoms' uniform, Grant scored off a free kick from 30 yards out to spot the home side with an early lead and looked threatening quite often.

The Seacoast United Phantoms are busy preparing for an intense stretch in their 2014 schedule, where they will play 4 games in just 8 days.

The week begins with a road game on June 7th when they travel to Connecticut to face division leader CFC Azul (3-0-1).  The two teams met earlier this season on May 18th where the visiting side held on for a 2-1 win.

The Phantoms will turn around and host two home games, the first to division rival GPS Portland on Sunday, June 8th (6pm), followed by Vermont Voltage on Thursday, June 12th (7pm).   The last of the 4-game stretch is once again on the road when they visit Real Boston (MA) on Saturday, June 14th.

The fresh faces on this year's roster, including midfielders Abel Perez (Spain) and Andre Simmond (Londonderry, NH), are exciting to watch and provide a spark offensively.

All admission for Seacoast United Phantoms home games at Portsmouth High School are just $5 for adults and free for children 18 yrs of age and under.
