Tough Test On The Road This Weekend For Phantoms

May 19, 2016

The Seacoast United Phantoms are preparing for a weekend doubleheader away as the PDL schedule heats up during week 3.

The Phantoms will visit Westchester Flames (NY) on Saturday before stopping in the Nutmeg State on Sunday to play AC Connecticut on the return trip home.

Westchester began the season with back to back games as the visiting team, resulting in a 1-1 record. The Flames opened the season with a 0-2 loss to Long Island Roughriders away, before earning a win over FA Euro last weekend.

AC Connecticut suffered a 2-1 loss at home to GPS Portland on May 14th.  They host the Roughriders on Saturday before greeting the Phantoms on Sunday evening.

Iain Scott has resumed head coaching duties after the departure of Elvis Comrie prior to the FC Boston match.

"The players have worked hard this week to reach the standards I expect as a coach to make them competitive on game day," commented Scott.

Seacoast United is coming off a 2-1 win over FC Boston away in Newton, MA last weekend, with Trent Lougheed and Errol Reid providing the goals. The Phantoms continue their stretch of 3 games on the road before their next home match on June 1st..
