EPPING, NH – As the middle of the season looms, the games start to come thick and fast and the Phantoms will look to put things right on Sunday when they take on Black Rock FC at Applejack Stadium.
With only a few games under their belt thus far, Black Rock FC finds themselves near the bottom of USL 2 northeast division. They kicked off their campaign with a comfortable 2-0 victory against AC Connecticut but found it a tough task when they faced now top of the table leaders Boston Bolts. Black Rock will look to gain some ground in the standings this weekend with two home matches. Their first match will see them take on Malaga City Friday evening, and they will round out the weekend when they welcome the Phantoms.
The Seacoast United Phantoms have had a couple up/down performances of late with the most recent one being a tough loss on the road to Bolts. Seacoast currently sits in 3rd place in the standings, head and shoulders above the teams below them, but still several points behind Western Mass Pioneers Bolts. Some of the Phantoms players have been enjoying some fantastic performances including Jamie Davis, who has been commanding the middle of the park with a team leading 4 assists. They also have seen big performances from goal scorer Donnett Sackie and Goalkeeper Christain Garner, who is currently averaging 1.3 goals per game. The backline led by Center Backs Marcelo Lage and Bridger Hansen will have a tough test this weekend against Black Rock striker Kelvin Mutaya Mwape, who has found the back of the net twice in two games.
