Seacoast United will start their first season with the WPSL on the road as they face the Connecticut Passion at Reece Stadium located at Yale University. The Connecticut Passion will also be playing their first season with the WPSL. In seasons past they were a part of the W-League of the USL (United Soccer Leagues), where last season they finished 3-9-2. Seacoast United hopes to start their WPSL debut with a win against the Passion. Three local standouts will be looking to help lead Seacoast United to their first win. Kaleigh Roberge, a Manchester native is currently a freshman at Southern New Hampshire University where she saw action in 18 games with 12 starts. Roberge was a 3-time All State Selection at her time at Memorial High School and will be playing midfield for Seacoast United. Another familiar face is Epping native Kendall Booth. Booth is currently a sophomore at East Carolina University and saw action in 21 games with 10 starts. Booth was a three-time first-team all-state selection at Epping High School and will be a strong defender for Seacoast United. Kelly Spencer (Exeter, NH) is going to be a strong force on the defensive end for Seacoast United this season. Spencer is currently a freshman at the University of New Hampshire where she saw action in every game for the Wildcats during their 2009 campaign. Spencer was an All-New England Selection as well as a 2 time First-Team All-State selection at her time at Exeter High School.
After being on the road on Sunday, Seacoast United will open up at home at Bill Ball Stadium Saturday, May 22 at 6:00pm against the Boston Breakers Reserves.
