Seacoast United and Express Soccer Club would like to announce their new partnership, and the formation of a new club based out of the Concord area of NH.
Seacoast Express United will provide expanded opportunities for soccer players in the region. Express SC President Whit Symmes wanted the organization to provide for its stronger players, while also supporting “multi-sport” athletes and those trying soccer for the first time.
“Seacoast United is the only club in the region which provides opportunities for all age groups and levels of play,” noted Symmes.
Where Seacoast United differs from any other club is the pyramid to success and development program throughout the age groups. Seacoast Express United will provide grassroots programs for children 3 years and up. The Junior Academy Program, which will run during the winter months for players U7 – U10, is a little more intense with technique and skills training, allowing players to stay and play with their own town teams. For players ages U11 – U14, Seacoast Express will field teams for competition in the Granite State Youth Soccer League, but also has the capability of entering teams to play their seasons in the New England Premiership. For the best players in the region, Seacoast is the only club in New Hampshire who competes in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy and Pre-Academy programs. This allows the strongest players the exposure of training and playing in front of National level coaches every week. On the girls’ side, Seacoast United has implemented a very successful “Showcase” program. The top girls’ teams within the U15-U17 age groups compete in the best national college showcase tournaments and many current and past players have been heavily recruited by top colleges.
At the top of the Development Pyramid are the men’s and women’s minor league teams, which compete in the PDL, NPSL and WPSL leagues. This allows players to start and finish their soccer careers all with Seacoast United.
“This is a very exciting time for Concord and surrounding communities,” added Symmes.
Paul Willis, the founder and CEO of Seacoast United, added, “This region of the state deserves the same opportunities that we currently offer for the Seacoast families. We are excited to provide resources and staff to grow soccer in the Concord area and ultimately provide a pathway for every player to develop to their full potential.”
