Seacoast United Girls & Boys Compete in Prestigious College Showcases in NC and AZ

Seacoast United Boys U16 and U18 Academy teams departed Thursday afternoon for the US Development Academy College Showcase in Phoenix, Arizona.  Over 80 of the top Clubs in America will be present and each team will play a total of three games before returning to NH on Monday.

Seacoast United’s U16 and U17 Girls sides left for Raleigh, North Carolina to compete in the CASL College Showcase which is running simultaneously with the Divison 1 Women’s Final Four.   

HAMPTON, NH - Seacoast United boys U16 and U18 Academy teams departed Thursday afternoon for the US Development Academy College Showcase in Phoenix, Arizona.  Over 80 of the top Clubs in America will be present and each team will play a total of three games before returning to NH on Monday.  The Seacoast players will be watched and evaluated by US National Team Scouts, including Tony Lepore, Chief US Scout and former Director of Youth Programs at SUSC.  All of the top college programs from Division 1, 2, and 3 will also be present as they look for players that can help their programs.  Seacoast United U16 and U18 teams will play against Internationals (Ohio), Real Colorado (CO), and Derby County Wolves (Michigan).

SUSC’s U16 and U17 girls sides left for Raleigh, North Carolina to compete in the CASL College Showcase which is running simultaneously with the Divison 1 Women’s Final Four.  The scenario is almost exactly the same as the boys event in Arizona with US Scouts and all of the top college coaches in the country on-hand.  The U16’s will play Collierville (TN), Lonestar SC (TX), and SAC United (MD).  The U17 girls will compete against Colorado Storm (CO), Fort Worth (TX), and Pittsgrove SC (NJ).  In addition to each of the three games the teams play, the girls will also get a chance to see former SUSC player Kristy Zurmuhlen compete for Stanford University when they take on Boston College in one of the semi-final matches of the Women’s Final Four.
