Seacoast United is proud to announce the addition of Gabriel Mercier as the U17 Boys Select coach for the spring 2014 season.

Gabriel was a four year starter at Southern New Hampshire University from 2004-2008.  He captained SNHU to the league and conference championships in 2008, and was an All-Conference selection.

In 2009, he signed his first professional contract with the Western MA Pioneers (USL-2).  He also played professional indoor soccer for the Louisville Lightning (PASL) and finished fifth on the team in points with 8 goals and 11 assists.

Gabriel has made a total of 6 appearances for the New England Revolution (two reserve matches, 4 preseason matches).  He was invited to a month long preseason trial by Revolution head coach Jay Heaps in 2012, and had the honor of playing against the likes of David Beckham, Edson Buddle, and the LA Galaxy.

Mercier coached for Hampshire FC out of Amherst, NH for four years.  In 2012, he was the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at Rivier University and currently is the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at Assumption College in Worcester, MA.
