Patten Named NSCAA Scholar All-American

Joshua Patten (Sandown, NH/Timberlane Regional HS)has been selected as a "Scholar All-American" by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.  Josh has been invited to receive his award next month in Maryland.  Recently, he returned from US Soccer’s Development Academy Showcase in Phoenix, AZ with the Seacoast United U18 Development Academy team.   Josh was among the nation’s elite soccer players, playing in front of over 300 college coaches and representatives of the US Soccer National Development Program.

Martin Shares Thoughs On Recent UK Trip

US Development Academy goalkeeper Glen Martin (Andover, MA) was featured in an article at Brooks School, where Martin is heading into his senior year this fall.  Martin shared his thoughts & experiences on the recent Four Nations tournament in England with Seacoast United (June 2010).  The boys from the SUSC Development Academy squad had the opportunity to play against two Oxford United academy teams, as well as teams representing England, Scotland, and Wales.

Three Seacoast United Players Selected for NY Red Bull High School Cup

The 2010 New York Red Bulls High School Cup is an All-Star game that features top USSF Development Academy players from across the country in an East vs. West format.  The purpose of the New York Red Bulls High School Cup is to showcase the top academy players who are rising Seniors of the Class of 2011, while giving them a true taste of the professional soccer experience.  The 2010 High School Cup will take place in the brand new, soccer specific Red Bull Arena located in Harrison, NJ.

The 2010 New York Red Bulls High School Cup will be run in conjunction with the Barclay’s New York Challenge featuring the New York Red Bulls, English clubs Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Portuguese club Sporting Clube de Portugal.  For full information on the event, please click here.


NY Red Bull High School Cup A Success

HARRISON, NJ - Thirty rising seniors from various Clubs were handpicked to play in the New York Red Bulls High School Cup, an East vs. West format All-Star game featuring the top USSF Development Academy Players from across the country.  Seacoast United was represented by three players:  forward Steffan Defregger (Guilford, NH), and midfielders Jimmy Petruccelli (Brentwood, NH) and Faz Nabi (Portland, ME).  The boys shared a fantastic experience as they were given the opportunity to play with and against the best in the country.

Petruccelli noted, "The trip was an incredible experience because we were treated as if we were the actual Redbull professional team. The set up was impeccable, from flying each and everyone us down there, to being able meet and have dinner with Redbull players, allowing all of us to get a glimpse at what being a professional is really about. Being able to play with fellow Seacoast teammates was great because all three of us are friends which just made it that much more of an enjoyable weekend."

Seacoast United U16/U18 Academy Competes in Prestigious College Showcase in Arizona
December 2, 2010 

HAMPTON, NH - Seacoast United boys U16 and U18 Academy teams departed Thursday afternoon for the US Development Academy College Showcase in Phoenix, Arizona.  Over 80 of the top Clubs in America will be present and each team will play a total of three games before returning to NH on Monday.  The Seacoast players will be watched and evaluated by US National Team Scouts, including Tony Lepore, Chief US Scout and former Director of Youth Programs at SUSC.  All of the top college programs from Division 1, 2, and 3 will also be present as they look for players that can help their programs.  Seacoast United U16 and U18 teams will play against Internationals (Ohio), Real Colorado (CO), and Derby County Wolves (Michigan).

SUSC Academy Players Named as ESPN RISE All-Stars

Five Seacoast United Development Academy players were recently named as ESPN Rise Fall Soccer All-Stars.  Those listed were Jimmy Petruccelli (Exeter HS/Exeter, NH), Fazal Nabi (Portland HS/Portland, ME), Connor Pauley (Londonderry HS/Londonderry NH), Chris Wild (Berwick Academy/South Berwick, ME), and Aaron Smith (Merrimack HS/Merrimack, NH).  See the full article on ESPN’s website here.


SUSC Players to Participate at US Soccer Training Center
January 2011

Seacoast United players Ramiro Osario (’94), Guy Kabala (’96), Donald Tomlinson (’95) and Jason Underhill (’96) have been invited to participate in the US Soccer Training Center for the New England Area.  The Training Camp will take place on January 29th at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.  Osario, Kabala, and Tomlinson all play for the Seacoast United US Development Academy teams, while Underhill is a member of the ’96 Pre-Academy squad.

US Soccer Training Centers are designed to replicate national team training camps.  As the national governing body of soccer in the United States, and under the auspices of the United States Olympic Committee, US Soccer is empowered and charged with developing the teams that represent the United States in all international competitions such as the Olympics and FIFA World Cup.  The Training Center Program is an integral part of this process.


Petruccelli Invited to U18 US National Team Camp
February 2011

Jimmy Petruccelli (Exeter HS/Exeter, NH) has been invited to the upcoming Under-18 Men’s National Team training camp.  The training camp will take place from Saturday, February 12th through Sunday February 20th in Phoenix, Arizona.  Petruccelli is a member of the U17/U18 Seacoast United US Soccer Development Academy team and has committed to Providence College (RI) for the fall of 2011.



Kabala Invited to US Soccer U15 BNT Training Camp
March 2011 

Seacoast United US Development Academy player Guyllian Kabala (Manchester, NH) has been invited to attend the U15 Boys National Team Training Camp to take place in California this March.  Guy joined Seacoast United for the 2010/11 season and is currently playing on the U16 Development Academy squad under coach John Price. 

"Guy has an incredible future ahead of him and his inclusion in the U15 US Soccer camp is only a testament to his enthusiastic and professional approach to training and total commitment to his position in the squad, that being the youngest member he leads by example," says Price.  "He is very tenacious on the field yet a quiet and well-mannered young man off it.  I can only wish him the very best for his soccer future." 

Guy also has a brother Yannick who plays for the New England Revolution U18 Development Academy squad.


Jayne Honored by Gatorade
May 2011

Seacoast United US Development Academy player Eric Jayne was named as the Gatorade Boys’ Soccer Player of the Year for New Hampshire.   Jayne was recognized along with 49 other players from across the country, 26 of which currently play for US Development Academy Clubs.  Read the full article from US Soccer’s website here.

Seacoast United US Development U16 Academy’s Guy Kabala (Manchester, NH) has been invited to the upcoming U15 Boys’ National Team Training Camp.  This camp will take place from Saturday, July 23rd through Saturday, July 30th in Carson, California.
