EPPING, NH - It’s been a successful year thus far for the Seacoast United Girls Academy and they will be looking to end the season on a high this week when they make their way out west. The GA Oceanside Summer Event will serve as the league’s inaugural National Playoffs and Summer Showcase event, which will be hosted at the SoCal Sports Complex in Oceanside, California this month.

The event, titled GACA21, will feature over 400 games between June 23 and June 30 and will see clubs from around the country competing on the national stage. The U19, U14, and U13 age groups will be vying for the first ever Girls Academy National Championships while the U17, U16, U15 age groups will have both National playoffs and showcases. The games will take place at the world class SoCal Sports Complex, a 52.5-acre area made up of 21 multi-use athletic fields, located in beautiful Oceanside, California. 

The Seacoast United 2004 Girls, coached by Iain Scott, will be competing for the national championship after finishing the season in the top three places of their division They, along with 31 other clubs from around the United States, will be competing for the national championship. “Our teams performed really well down in Florida earlier this year and we are expecting to carry that momentum into this week’s competition.” Said Scott. “The players worked extremely hard this spring and they have earned the right to compete against the nation’s top teams.”

In addition to the 2004 Girls competing for the national championship, the 2005 and 2006 teams, coached by Ross Yeoman, will be participating in a showcase event which will allow the players to take part in tournament setting to conclude the season. “This year has been a challenge for everyone, so to see our program competing on the national stage is a testament to the work we are putting in every single week.” Said Girls Academy Director Chris Scott. “We have told all of our teams heading out to California to enjoy the occasion, work hard and do their best. I feel confident that we will come away from this experience with our heads held high.”
