EVENT RULES

SUSC Holiday Classic Event Rules & Guidelines

All jamboree games will be played in accordance with the SUSC Indoor Facility Rules unless modified herein. 

Coed divisons:  Teams must have a minimum of 2 players of each gender on the field at all times.

Ball Size/Game Duration
All games will use a size 5 ball.
All games will be 25 minutes in length, no halftime.

Substitutions
Substitutions are unlimited and may be made at any time during the game.
Coed teams must have at least two females on the field at all times during each game.

Field Size
225'x150', no dasher boards (7v7 + GK)

Results/Standings
Results will be recorded and a final will take place for teams who qualify.

Tournament Format
Games will be scheduled in a round-robin format for preliminary games.  Round robin game will be determined by number of team entries.

Divisions of 4 teams:  Teams play in a round-robin format, top two teams play in a final.
Divisions of 6 teams:  Division will be split into two brackets of 3.  Teams will play against the other two teams within the bracket in group play/round-robin format.  Winners of each bracket play in a final.

Game Points
Points will be awarded for each game in accordance with the following:

  • 3 points for a win
  • 1 point for a tie
  • 0 points for a loss

In the event of a forfeited game, the winner will be credited with a 3-0 win and awarded 3 points.

Tie Breaking Within a Bracket
In the event of a points tie, places will be determined as follows:
A. Head to Head
B. Goal Differential
C. Most Goals Scored
D. Goals Against
E. Most Shutouts

Overtime/PKs
If the score of the final match is tied at the end of the 25-minute game period, a 5-minute "Golden Goal" overtime period will take place.  If still tied, teams will go to PKs.
