Mahoney Named Defensive Player of the Week
October 13, 2012

Seacoast United Alumnus and Wilkes University freshman goalkeeper Kate Mahoney (Kingston NH) was named ECAC Division III South Defensive Player of the Week for October 13th, 2012.  Mahoney tallied two shutouts this week (a total of 6 on the season) as Wilkes went 1-0-1 in conference play.

McCombs, Richard Contribute at Michigan
October 21, 2012

SUSC Alumni junior Tori McCombs (Londonderry NH/Londonderry HS) and sophomore Cara Richard (Rye NH/St. Thomas), both midfielders on the Michigan Women’s soccer team, are looking forward to the collegiate postseason this fall.  On October 21st, #21 Michigan tied undefeated host #4 Penn State 1-1 in double OT.  The Wolverines are currently 13-3-2 on the season, 7-3-1 in the Big Ten and sit 2nd in the conference standings.  Their final regular season game takes place on October 27th vs. Illinois before entering the Big Ten Conference Tournament quarterfinal round on 10/31.

 

Clark Receives America East Conference Honors

Seacoast United Alumnus Emma Clark, a midfielder in her junior year for the Boston University Women’s Soccer team, was named Midfielder of the Year by the America East Conference.  Clark resides in York, ME and played her youth soccer with Seacoast United Soccer Club.  She has been a part of the Seacoast United Phantoms WPSL team for the past three seasons.  Click here to read the full release from the America East Conference.

 

Defeo Named America East Rookie of the Week
October 28, 2012

Seacoast United Development Academy alumnus and University of Vermont freshman Charlie Defeo was named America East Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week of the week ending October 28th. Defeo scored the game winning goal in a 2-1 overtime victory last week against Stonybrook.  The goal came in the 100th minute and the victory gave the Catamounts their first America East regular season title since 1989.  Read the full release from the University of Vermont's website here.
